HALKIRK United and Alness United offered up the game of the day at Morrison Park, with an eleven goal thriller that was served up in the most lopsided of circumstances. A fantastic first half performance from Alness saw them go in at the break 4-0 up. Gordon Finlayson opened the scoring after five minutes when he curled a shot into the far corner and five minutes later Shaun Grant doubled his side's lead with a superb mid-air volley. Craig Munro side footed the ball from a cutback just after the quarter hour mark to extended the Alness lead lead to three. Jack Mackay finished a good run from Chris Graham on 33 minutes to make it four.
Just after the restart, Munro added a second with a good finish inside the box. Finlayson recorded a brace of his own just before the hour mark to make it 6-0, as it looked as though Alness were home and dry with half an hour left. Very quickly though, Halkirk pulled a goal back through Ian Mackay, who pushed a loose ball to restore the deficit to five. The game took quite a turn when Munro was then dismissed with fifteen minutes remaining. Halkirk put on the pressure, and Marc Gunn fired home for his side's second. A tense final ten minutes followed as Halkirk notched a further three goals, two good finishes from Ross Macadie and the last of which a superb lob from Mackay two minutes into injury time. Despite chances, an equaliser never arrived however and Alness held on for a valuable three points after a heart stopping finish.

Invergordon kept the pressure on league leaders Thurso with a 7-0 win at home to Bunillidh Thistle. Defender Alan Duff took the plaudits with a hat-trick, beginning when he opened the scoring for the reigning champions after six minutes with a stunning 30 yard drive. Kyle Maclean extended the home side's lead on the half hour mark before Duff doubled his contribution right on the stroke of half time with a shot drilled into the corner from outside the box. It was goal number six of the season for Neil MacDonald five minutes into the second half to take the Invergordon total to four, and Niall Docherty fired home just two minutes to make it 5-0. Ryan Macleod then scored his ninth of the season on 64 minutes to extend Invergordon's lead over their Helmsdale visitors to six. Compounding Bunillidh's misery, Duff netted his hat-trick with eighteen minutes left, side footing home at the back post from a free kick.
Orkney held their place in third place on goal difference thanks to confident 4-0 win away to Inverness Athletic at Pavilion Park in Muir of Ord. Leading marksman Thorfinn Stout scored his tenth of the season to give Orkney the lead after 13 minutes, and the score was 1-0 to the Orcadians come half time. Liam Delday doubled his side's advantage just after the restart, but it wasn't until the final seven minutes that the points were wrapped up, with Jack Patterson netting his first of the campaign and Delday scoring again to round things off.
