Two of the associations' in form sides go head to head in Dingwall on Saturday as Alness United welcome St Duthus to the Highland Football Academy, Dingwall. Alness have had a fantastic start to the 2018/19 season having a near perfect record in all competitions, with last weekend’s draw away to Orkney the only time they have not victorious. United will be hoping to book their place in the Semi Final as they aim to add the North Caledonian Cup to the Football Times Cup they won earlier in the season. Reigning Champions St Duthus will be hoping for further success in this competition this season after their brilliant win over Golspie Sutherland in last season’s Final. The Saints will be high in confidence coming into this contest having recorded 3 wins on the bounce in the league for the first time since their return to the North Caledonian Association.

Golspie Sutherland v Bunillidh Thistle

It’s a local Derby at King George V Park, Golspie on Saturday as Golspie Sutherland entertain Bunillidh Thistle. Andrew Banks side will want to get back to winning ways after suffering defeat last time out against a rejuvenated St Duthus side in Tain. Golspie have proved hard to beat at home this season with Orkney the only team able to stop them securing victory at King George V Park. Bunillidh Thistle come into the game after a tough away trip to Thurso last weekend where they were eventually beaten 3-1. The Jags will hope to better the result from when the teams last met in September in the North Caledonian League when Golspie ran out 3-0 winners.

Pavillion Park in Muir of Ord will host Inverness Athletic v Invergordon

Pavillion Park in Muir of Ord is the venue for Inverness Athletic v Invergordon as the host look to get past the quarter final stage for the first time. Shane Carling's side will want to bounce back quickly from their disappointing defeat at the hands of St Duthus two weeks ago and book their place in the semi final of the competition for the first time. The visitors come into the tie on the back of a resounding 4-0 win over Halkirk United last weekend. Gary Campbell's side will hope for a repeat of the score line from their last visit to Pavilion Park when they ran out 3-2 winners near the end of last season.

The quarter final stage of this season's North Caledonian Cup has thrown up another local Derby, with Thurso hosting Halkirk United at The Dammies. The Vikings finally secured their first league win of the season last weekend when they beat Bunillidh Thistle 3-1 at the The Dammies and Stevie Reid’s men will look for that winning feeling to continue on Saturday as they aim to book their place in the semi final of the competition for the second year in a row. Halkirk United will be looking to this Caithness derby as a possible kick start to their season. The Anglers have had a torrid start to the new season and have only managed to chalk up one win so far. Halkirk only need to look back at the last meeting between the sides for confidence as they got the better of Thurso 1-0 in last season league meeting.
