Alness United v Halkirk United
Highland Football Academy, Dingwall
3:30pm Kick Off

Its back to league action this weekend for undefeated Alness United as they welcome Halkirk United to the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall. Kraig Vass’s side have yet to taste defeat in eleven outings in all competitions this season and will be looking for that superb form to continue Saturday when the league’s bottom side come to town. The Anglers go into Saturdays encounter on the back of a heart-breaking last-minute Caithness derby defeat, and will be aiming to chalk up their second away win of the season to go along with their impressive win in Helmsdale at the start of the month. These sides have already locked horns this season with Alness coming away from Morrison Park in Halkirk with the three points on the opening day of the season.

Bunillidh Thistle v Golspie Sutherland
Couper Park, Helmsdale
1:30pm Kick Off

It’s a reverse of last weekend’s North Caledonian Cup tie as Bunillidh Thistle welcome Golspie Sutherland to Helmsdale. Golspie ran out winners last Saturday in what was an enthralling cup tie, so expect more of the same this weekend as local bragging rights are once again up for grabs. Bunillidh’s form has stuttered a bit since their fine home win over St Duthus in October and manager Dean Cowie will hope his troops can rediscover that form to help them climb away from the foot of the table. Golspie suffered defeat last time out in the League, with St Duthus coming from behind to secure the win in Tain, and manager Andrew Banks will know that this weekend’s game will not be an easy one but will point his side in the direction of the previous meetings already with Bunillidh this season, with Golspie winning on both occasions.

Inverness Athletic v Invergordon
Pavilion Park, Muir of Ord
1:30pm Kick Off

Pavilion Park in Muir of Ord plays host to Inverness Athletic v Invergordon for the second week running, as Inverness look to avenge last weekend’s Cup defeat. Invergordon came out on top last Saturday in a seven-goal thriller, with Darran Goller once again proving to be the main thorn in Athletic's side as he helped secure a semi final spot for his side. Shane Carling’s men will want to quickly put that result to bed and get back to winning ways in the league to keep hot on heels of the leading pack. Invergordon come into the game aiming to cement their place at the top of the League table as Gary Campbell’s men look to maintain their 3-point advantage over Alness United in second, albeit Alness will have three games in hand.

Thurso v Orkney
Sir George's Park, Thurso
1:45pm Kick Off

The Vikings welcome Orkney to The Dammies on Saturday aiming to secure back to back league wins for the first time this season. Stevie Reid’s men have blown hot and cold this season and find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings near the foot of the League table. The Caithness outfit have already got the better of Saturday’s Island guests this season, running out 5-2 winners in the Quarter Final of the Football Times Cup in September. Orkney travel to the mainland after a free week last weekend looking for revenge for that Football Times cup exit earlier in the season but will be well aware that they are in for a tough afternoon’s work. Charlie Always’s side know that to keep pace with the sides above them then three points in Thurso is a must as they aim to be the first side to retain the League title since Halkirk United in the 2011/12 season.
