There was little to separate the teams in a evenly contested first half. Thurso's Scott Bell tested Invergordon goalkeeper Will Counsell early on, while Jordan Knight forced a save from James More shortly afterwards. Invergordon finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute. Former Brora Rangers' defender Scott Houston drove forward and unleashed a 20 yard drive into the bottom corner of the net for his first goal for the club. Shaun Kerr made sure of the points for the home side with an equally clinical finish. The Invergordon forward found the back of the net from 15 yard after he swept a Ken Morrison cut back into the bottom corner. Invergordon finished the match with 10 men after Counsell was sent off in the final minute for handling outside his area.

Halkirk United and St Duthus settled for a point apiece in a rare goal-less draw at rain-soaked Morrison Park. In the only 0-0 draw so far this season neither side could find the net. However, the Anglers were denied by the woodwork on no fewer than three occasions in the second half.

Golspie Sutherland 1-0 Alness United
King George V Park, Golspie

In another close encounter, Sandy Sutherland scored the only goal of the game as Golspie Sutherland picked up three valuable points to keep their title bid on track. The Golspie forward picked the ball up 25 yards out and curled a left foot shot high into the net. United had their fair share of the action but failed to break down a stubborn Golspie rearguard, which kept a ninth clean sheet of the season. The result leaves Golspie a point behind leaders Invergordon, but crucially they have two games left to play.
