Week 26 Preview
Its the North Caledonian Cup Final this weekend as Alness United and Invergordon go head to head for the second trophy of the season. There are also some massive games in the Macleod & MacCallum North Caledonian League with Orkney and Golspie Sutherland both looking for wins to keep them in the title hunt.
North Caledonian Cup Final
Alness United v Invergordon
at Dudgeon Park, Brora
Alness United and Invergordon contest the second cup final of the season at Dudgeon Park. As things stands it is one 2-1 win apiece this season and another close encounter is expected. United,.who have already won a trophy this season, will be without goalkeeper Scott MacAngus, Jude Fraser and Connor Ross through injury. Mikey Grimes has work commitments, while Ryan McFee is also unavailable. Invergordon welcome back dead ball specialist Arron Christie from suspension. But keeper Will Counsell is sidelined after being sent off last week.

North Caledonian League
Bunillidh Thistle v Orkney
at Couper Park, Helmsdale
Orkney head for the mainland with a full complement of players. In the first of two meetings between the teams this month Charlie Always' side know it is one they need to win to keep in the title race. Thistle manager Dean Cowie will be hoping for a big performance from his side, who are always capable of causing an upset on home soil.
Inverness Athletic v Golspie Sutherland

Inverness Athletic will be looking to put a spoke in Golspie Sutherland's title challenge when the teams meet in the Highland capital. However, Athletic have injury concerns over Phil MacDonald, Ian Penwright and Michael McRobert. Golspie have John Budge free from suspension, while James Mackay is set to return. But Gavin Sinclair misses out due to work commitments.
Thurso v Halkirk United
at Sir George's Park, Thurso
With one derby win apiece so far this season both teams will be looking to claim the local bragging rights as they complete their league programme. Thurso will be minus Shaun Forbes, Scott Bell and Martin Sutherland due to work commitments, while Jacob Koziol faces a late fitness test after he picked up a knock last week. However, Sean Stewart and Sean Munro are available again for the Vikings. Anglers' manager Gordon MacDonald has a full squad at his disposal for the match.
