With a strong wind at their backs in the first half Bunillidg enjoyed a fair share of possession but it was Orkney who took the lead in the 24th minute. Joe Wilson swept home a Liam Delday cut back from six yards after the latter's shot rebounded off the post.
The elements actually worked in Orkney's favour for their second goal five minutes from the break. A long ball from the back was held up in the wind to allow Chris Simpson to nip in and score.
Simpson netted again early in the second half when he beat Bunillidh keeper Cameron Yuill to the ball the edge of the area before rolling it into the empty net.
Two goals in a three minute spell from Chris Helliwell and Delday put Orkney out of sight.
Craig Gillon then added a sixth goal in the 66th minute following a slick five-man move.
There was no respite for the Bunillidh defence and Connan Rendall made it 7-0 in the 68th minute. James Pickles got in on the act a minute later with goal number eight.
The goals kept coming and Delday scored the pick of the bunch in the 75th minute when he waltzed past a handful of defenders to net.
It was double figures in the 80th when Rendall fired high into the net for his second of the afternoon.
Gillon also grabbed his second four minutes from the end to round off a remarkable second half display from Orkney.
